how can facebook affect the brain

In the report called "social networks can affect the structure of the human brain," researchers BUPA reveals a link between the number of friends on social networks and the size of certain parts of the brain, resulting in the MRI study of 125 students sites. To confirm the results, scientists analyzed 40 cases of other people. A subset of 80 men who took part in the study were interviewed to find out how many friends are in real life.

Following this research, was that people have more friends on facebook have more gray matter in three regions of the brain responsible for memory sense, balance and vision. "Social networks are becoming more popular and influential however, we know very little about the impact they have on brain health in general .. Although research may be interesting, not necessarily help us understand the use of social network interaction and impact that have a brain. would be interesting to compare the MRI people using social networking sites regularly to those of people who do this and to see differences, "said Dr Prerna Sharma, MD health BUPA and welfare in Britain.
